Windmill Winter Wonderland

The Mid-America Windmill Museum’s annual holiday tradition, the Windmill Winter Wonderland, once again promises to amaze and enchant everyone.  Visitors will be able to enjoy all the magic and sounds of the season as they wander the pathways on the museum grounds past lighted windmills and Christmas displays.  This year, the museum is pleased and honored to feature the Guenin Family Christmas Display.  Many area residents are familiar with the lighted Christmas display located west of Wolcottville and have driven past it for years making it a “must see” seasonal treat.

This fall the Guenin family generously donated their entire lighted display to the Mid-America Windmill Museum.  With this gift, the museum will continue to preserve the holiday spirit of giving by sharing their display for all to enjoy.  Together with the museum’s own collection of Christmas lighted displays, this year’s Windmill Winter Wonderland will definitely be a “Must See” destination.  We have dedicated this year’s display to the Guenin family as a loving tribute and thank you for allowing us the privilege to share your wonderful gift with everyone.

The Windmill Winter Wonderland will be open for two weekends this year beginning on Friday, December 5 through Sunday, December 7 and again on Friday, December 12 through Sunday, December 14.  The hours are 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Admission is $3 per person with children under 12 free.  Visitors will be able to see a live nativity on Saturday, December 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Members of Kendallville’s Faith United Methodist Church will perform the live nativity in the basement of the museum barn.

Santa Claus will have his bag loaded with treats for all the children, so make sure to stop in Baker Hall after walking through the lighted displays.  Craft vendors will have booths brimming with holiday gift ideas.  Food and beverages will be available so visitors can warm up.  The drawing for the museum’s annual windmill raffle will be held on Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m.  Winners need not be present to win.
