Travel Instructions

From Interstate 69

Get off Interstate 69 at Exit 134 U. S. Hwy 6 and turn west.  Travel west on U. S. Hwy 6 to Kendallville.  Follow the posted detour route for C. R. 1000 E south.  Turn left/south at the traffic light on Main Street and U. S. Hwy 6/North Street.  Continue through downtown Kendallville to Waits Road/C. R. 500 N.  Turn left/east.  Continue to C. R. 1000 E/South Allen Chapel Road.  Turn left/north and carefully drive through the barricade.  The road is open to the Mid-America Windmill Museum.  The entrance to the museum is on the left/west side of the road.

From State Road 3 North (Coming from Fort Wayne)

Turn right/north at C. R. 1000 E. /South Allen Chapel Road.  Drive about 3 ½ miles.  There are three intersections at C. R. 300 N., C. R. 415 N. /Lisbon Road, and C. R. 500 N. /Waits Road to go through.  At the last intersection, there will be a road-closed barricade.  Drive carefully through the barricade.  The road is open to the Mid-America Windmill Museum.  The entrance to the museum is on the left /west side of the road.

From U. S. Highway 6 (Kendallville)

Go east on U. S. Hwy 6 to Kendallville.  Continue on U.S. Hwy 6/North Street to the traffic light at the intersection Main Street.  Turn right/south and follow the posted detour signs for C. R. 1000 E. South. Continue through downtown Kendallville to Waits Road/C. R. 500 N.  Turn left/east.  Continue to C. R. 1000 E/South Allen Chapel Road.  Turn left/north and carefully drive through the barricade.  The road is open to the Mid-America Windmill Museum.  The entrance to the museum is on the left/west side of the road.

From State Road 3 North (Coming into Kendallville)

Come south on State Road 3/Lima Road. Turn left/east at traffic light at intersection U. S. Hwy 6/North Street. Follow posted detour sign for C. R. 1000 E South. Turn right/south at the traffic light intersection on Main Street. Continue through downtown Kendallville to Waits Road/C. R. 500 N. Turn left/east. Continue to C. R. 1000 E/South Allen Chapel Road. Turn left/north and carefully drive through the barricade. The road is open to the Mid-America Windmill Museum. The entrance to the museum is on the left/west side of the road.
